»State responsibility and the lease of foreign territory«: International lease agreements over significant areas of foreign territory for industry and agriculture entail numerous conflicts for human rights and international environmental law. By analyzing selected treaties the possibilities of international law are shown in order to meet these challenges. This includes questions of State responsibility, the transfer of jurisdiction on foreign territory and the attributability of the acts of non-state actors.
