This is a fictionalized account of a true travel tale that follows a discouraged young journalist from California to war-torn Croatia. There he meets and is smitten by a young woman who leads him to Africa: Nairobi Kenya; the Savannah Grasslands; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and the Gombe National Reserve, where they live and work briefly with the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall. Together they embark on a journey through the great continent and into each others' hearts.
